Performances, Exhibitions, and Experience Booths
to Be Held at Ansan Culture Square
On June 7, 2025, the city of Ansan in Gojan-dong will host the "2025 Ansan Citizen Environmental Festival" at Ansan Culture Square to commemorate World Environment Day.
This event is co-hosted by seven organizations, including the Ansan Sustainable Development Council and the Gyeonggi-do Ansan Office of Education, and is sponsored by the city of Ansan, Ansan Urban Development, and Hanyang University ERICA Pampers. The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of the environment and the seriousness of the climate crisis, and to promote a transition toward a carbon-neutral society at the local level.
Held under the slogan "My Small Actions, The Beginning of an Eco-Friendly Life," the event will feature a congratulatory performance by the Ansan City Choir, awards for environmental contributors, a sustainable development drawing contest award ceremony, and environmental performances.
At the venue, there will also be an environmental quiz competition called "Challenge Green Bell," the Eolssu (Earth) Market sharing bazaar, environmental experience booths and solar energy experiences, and a reusable tumbler campaign.
The event will be held as a plastic-free event to promote environmental conservation and carbon neutrality. Discount coupons for use at cafes around the venue will be provided to 500 citizens who bring their own tumblers.
Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "We will strive to create a sustainable future through practicing carbon neutrality and preserving the ecosystem together with our citizens."
