Bae, Kim & Lee LLC held a seminar with EY India at its Jongno headquarters on May 28. The seminar, which was sponsored by the Embassy of India in Korea and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by more than 140 people.
In the first session of the seminar, Kangman Choi and Yongwoo Kwon, directors at EY, gave presentations on how to establish a corporation in India and important cultural differences to keep in mind. In the second session, Saltak Malhotra, a foreign attorney (India) at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, explained the dispute resolution mechanisms available in India under the theme of "Litigation and Dispute Resolution System in India." Changwan Han, a lawyer at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, provided guidance on important considerations during customs clearance, focusing on rules of origin and certification.
Bae, Kim & Lee LLC has operated a dedicated India team since 2014, recognizing the growth potential of the Indian market. Led by lawyer Jongbaek Park, the India Task Force has been expanded and reorganized to provide solutions for a wide range of legal issues.
