Daejeon Transportation Corporation Conducts Intensive Inspection of Major Station Safety Facilities

Daejeon Transportation Corporation announced that, as part of the "2025 Intensive Safety Inspection," it conducted a special safety inspection of the City Hall Station and Government Complex Station on May 28.

At City Hall Station, the inspection covered the status of improvements to the entrance pole signs and canopy ceiling glass, and checked the condition of the dust-proof coating in the mainline ventilation room to prevent dust dispersion. In addition, the corporation assessed the electrical equipment for abnormalities by performing thermal imaging and insulation resistance measurements on the electrical distribution panels.

At Government Complex Station, the corporation focused on inspecting the operation of major signal and communication equipment, including waveform analysis of the electronic interlocking device and checking the operational status of the train radio base station.

Private sector experts participated in this inspection, conducting precise diagnostics using specialized equipment.

Based on the findings from this inspection, the corporation plans to promptly implement necessary supplementary measures and to carry out additional repairs and reinforcements for any deficiencies identified during the intensive safety inspection period.

President Yeon Kyuyang stated, "Urban railways are essential infrastructure that citizens use every day, so we will personally verify and thoroughly inspect the sites to ensure an even safer subway system," adding, "We will continue to prioritize citizens' safety above all else."
