Raon Meta, a subsidiary of Raon Secure, has taken steps to expand practical training opportunities for foreigners preparing for the nursing care worker certification.
Raon Meta (CEO Lee Soonhyung), a company specializing in generative AI-based metaverse platforms, announced on May 29 that it has signed a business agreement with Daeshin University (President Choi Daehae) to introduce nursing care practice content for MetaDemy, a metaverse-based practical training service.
Since last year, the government has allowed foreigners who graduate from domestic universities to obtain employment by issuing the E-7 (Special Activity) visa if they acquire a nursing care worker certification. As a result, there has been a significant increase in demand for nursing care worker education and practical training among foreigners.
Through this agreement, Raon Meta and Daeshin University plan to contribute to the training of nursing care workers, who are increasingly recognized as essential personnel in the era of population aging, by providing more practical and systematic training opportunities to foreigners hoping to work as nursing care workers in Korea through the MetaDemy service.
Raon Meta recently implemented a major update to the MetaDemy service, introducing multilingual features such as English, creating an environment where foreign users can more conveniently access training content. The provision of nursing care practice content for foreigners is expected to serve as a stepping stone for entering the global nursing care training market.
The nursing care practice content of the MetaDemy service offers nursing care workers expanded training opportunities by replacing conventional offline-only training with a metaverse environment. Visiting Angels Korea, the nation's leading senior care company, has introduced metaverse training content at 127 locations nationwide, utilizing it for the practical training of nursing care workers.
Yoon Wonseok, Head of the MetaDemy Business Division at Raon Meta, said, "Through this agreement, foreigners will be able to experience more realistic practical training opportunities in the process of obtaining a nursing care worker certification through the MetaDemy service," adding, "We will continue to expand metaverse-based training environments in cooperation with various institutions."
