Readiness Checked for Small Business Burden Relief Credit and Win-Win Payback Programs
The Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) announced on the 28th that it held a meeting at its Daejeon headquarters to review preparations for the main projects of the first supplementary budget in 2025. This meeting was organized to check the readiness of the newly established "Small Business Burden Relief Credit" and "Win-Win Payback" programs, which were created through the first supplementary budget of this year.
SEMAS is responsible for executing a total of 3.55 trillion won out of the 5.1 trillion won "Livelihood Recovery Support" supplementary budget, including 1.57 trillion won for the Small Business Burden Relief Credit, 1.37 trillion won for Win-Win Payback, and 500 billion won for small business policy loans. This amount is equivalent to about 70% of SEMAS's main budget for this year, excluding the supplementary budget.

SEMAS plans to hold regular review meetings to ensure the execution of the supplementary budget and will work closely with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Ministry of Economy and Finance to prepare thoroughly and without delay. Park Seonghyo, President of SEMAS, stated, "As the supplementary budget has been prepared to support small businesses facing difficulties due to sluggish domestic demand, we must do our utmost to ensure prompt and seamless execution through thorough preparation," adding, "We will make comprehensive efforts to ensure that the policy's effectiveness is felt by closely reflecting the voices from the field, thereby contributing to the stabilization of livelihoods and business recovery for small businesses."
Meanwhile, SEMAS is conducting a recruitment announcement for 152 new employees for the first half of the year from the 26th until June 9th to ensure the prompt execution of the first supplementary budget in 2025.
