Full-Scale Launch of the Overseas Talent Attraction Center in Uzbekistan
A Key Hub for Discovering and Attracting Outstanding Local Talent
On May 22, Gyeongbuk Technopark officially opened the "Gyeongbuk Province Overseas Talent Attraction Center" at Tashkent Innotechnopark in Uzbekistan, marking a full-fledged effort to attract outstanding overseas talent.

The newly established Overseas Talent Attraction Center will serve as a key hub for systematically identifying outstanding talent locally and verifying visa requirements, in line with Gyeongbuk Province's implementation of a wide-area visa system.
In particular, Gyeongbuk Technopark plans to actively utilize its local human resources network in Uzbekistan, which was established through its ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects, to handle preliminary verification and screening for visa issuance.
The center will focus on attracting talent in the industrial workforce sector, which is part of Gyeongbuk Province's total wide-area visa target of 350 people. According to the country-specific allocation criteria, it is expected that up to 75 industrial talents can be attracted from Uzbekistan.
Gyeongbuk Province also plans to gradually expand its overseas talent attraction hubs, starting with Uzbekistan.
The opening of this Overseas Talent Attraction Center is expected to serve as an important foundation for Gyeongbuk Province to attract outstanding overseas talent, strengthen the competitiveness of local industries, and promote sustainable development.
Eligible applicants include graduates of overseas (specialized) universities designated by Gyeongbuk Province who possess a certain level of Korean language proficiency, making them eligible to apply for a visa.
Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, "Based on the local network and experience that Gyeongbuk Technopark has accumulated through its projects, we will strive to achieve tangible results."
