On May 28, Taekwang Group’s Sehwa Museum of Art announced that it would extend its exhibition hours until 8:00 p.m. in celebration of "Culture Day."
On this day, Sehwa Museum of Art will offer docent-led tours at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and at 3:00 p.m., a sign language interpretation program for visitors with hearing impairments will also be available. The sign language interpretation program was established to enhance cultural accessibility for a diverse range of visitors, including those with hearing impairments.
In addition, to accommodate office workers, the museum will extend its exhibition hours by two hours, from the previous closing time of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will operate the "After Work at the Museum" program.
As part of the exhibition-related programs, an artist talk featuring artists Lee Binsoyeon, Han Sunwoo, and Piper Banks will be held on May 31. On June 14, an animation production workshop led by artist Sim Raejeong is scheduled, and on June 21, a hand drawing workshop by artist Lee Binsoyeon will take place.
Currently, Sehwa Museum of Art is presenting the exhibition "Floating World: Bed, Bath, Bus," which explores themes of human daily life, memory, and private spaces. The exhibition will run until June 29. Sehwa Museum of Art, along with the art film theater Cinecube, is recognized as one of Taekwang Group’s leading cultural and artistic venues.
Seo Hyeok, director of Sehwa Museum of Art, stated, "We hope that more citizens will enjoy art through the 'After Work at the Museum' program," adding, "We will continue to present exhibitions and programs that embrace diversity and accessibility."
