Chosun University announced on May 28 that the Department of Advanced Energy Engineering has signed separate industry-academia-research collaboration agreements with Gwangju Environment Corporation and Dongjin Machinery for demonstration research on wastewater treatment and biogasification.
The agreements, signed on May 27 at Gwangju Environment Corporation, were established to systematically promote demonstration-focused joint research by connecting the infrastructure and capabilities of the three institutions based on mutual cooperation.
The main points of the agreements include: ▲ joint research on demonstration plants for energy self-sufficiency at wastewater treatment facilities ▲ training of professionals through the exchange of theoretical and practical education programs ▲ various social contribution activities for carbon neutrality and environmental conservation ▲ and discussions to identify additional areas for collaboration.
Through these agreements, each institution plans to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality through biogas technology development and demonstration research, as well as to promote a variety of collaborative projects such as joint research among industry, academia, and research institutes, and education in the environment and energy sectors.
Park Jungyu, Professor at Chosun University, said, "I hope that research and development of the demonstration plant will be successfully carried out based on this agreement," adding, "We will strive to contribute to realizing carbon neutrality at wastewater treatment plants, training professionals, and creating value for social contribution."
