On May 28, Yeosu City (Mayor Jung Kimyung) held the "Yeosu National Industrial Complex Safety Culture Expansion Technology Exchange Meeting" at the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Jeonnam Regional Headquarters to prevent electrical safety accidents in petrochemical companies and small and medium-sized enterprises.

This event was organized through collaboration among three organizations: Yeosu City, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Korea Industrial Complex Corporation. It was designed to provide information and facilitate the exchange of technology for electrical safety managers in the industrial complex, including causes and prevention methods of electrical equipment failures, case studies of electrical safety accidents, and instructions on reporting disaster incidents.

After the training, personal measuring instruments, safety gear, and diagnostic measuring equipment used by electrical safety managers were calibrated to adjust measurement errors. Battery leaks and broken lead wires were repaired or replaced. Equipment that completed calibration was assigned a QR code to facilitate easy management of inspection records.

A city official stated, "Led by the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, we are establishing a close cooperation system with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation to implement customized electrical safety programs within the industrial complex," and added, "We will do our utmost to prevent safety accidents through integrated safety training at Yeosu Industrial Complex, especially in preparation for electric shock accidents during the summer."

Meanwhile, on April 30, Yeosu City signed a safety cooperation agreement for the Yeosu National Industrial Complex with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Jeonnam Regional Headquarters and the Yeosu Branch of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, ensuring thorough efforts in electrical accident prevention and safety culture education.
