KB Kookmin Bank announced on May 28 that it held the 'KB Talent Development' scholarship award ceremony, a program supporting the growth of young people.
'KB Talent Development' is a social contribution program that provides scholarships to young people striving to achieve their dreams in academics and the arts or sports. As one of KB Kookmin Bank's flagship social contribution initiatives, 'KB Dream Wave 2030,' it has been running since 2016 and has supported scholarships for a total of over 4,560 young people to date.
At the ceremony held at the KB Kookmin Bank New Building on this day, approximately 270 scholarship recipients participated both online and offline. The event included an introduction to the program and presentations of various outstanding achievements, such as winning the grand prize at a national pansori competition and first place at a national taekwondo breaking competition.
KB Kookmin Bank selected the scholarship recipients based on growth plans written directly by the students. The selected students will receive scholarships on a quarterly basis, and additional scholarships will be awarded to outstanding recipients.
One student who received a scholarship this year said, "I am happy to have been selected as a scholarship recipient sponsored by KB Kookmin Bank," and added, "I will do my best to achieve my dreams and reach my goals."
A representative from KB Kookmin Bank stated, "We hope that young people with potential will be able to pursue their dreams with stable learning opportunities and talent development," and added, "We will continue to provide generous support so that young people, the protagonists of the future, can grow up properly and achieve their goals."
Meanwhile, KB Financial Group, together with the KB Financial Public Interest Foundation, continues to carry out a variety of social contribution activities that provide practical support, such as scholarship programs for marginalized youth and children of public officials who died or were injured in the line of duty, employment support grants for young adults entering the workforce, and support programs for victims of rental scams.
