After Striking Gold with 2,000-Won Coffee, This Person Buys 16.5 Billion Won Apartment in Gangnam Raemian One Bailey in Banpo-dong


The founder of Mega MGC Coffee has been confirmed as the buyer in the highest-priced transaction for Raemian One Bailey in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.


According to industry sources on May 28, a 234.98-square-meter unit on the 35th floor of Raemian One Bailey was sold for 16.5 billion won in February. This marks the highest transaction price within the complex.


The buyer has been identified as the founder of Mega MGC Coffee. It is known that the founder previously resided in another building within Raemian One Bailey and purchased this particular unit.

Raemian One Bailey consists of 2,990 units across 23 buildings, ranging from four basement levels to 35 above-ground floors. The complex was completed in August 2023. This year, a 59-square-meter unit was sold for 4.2 billion won, and an 84-square-meter unit was sold for 7 billion won, making it the first time in Korea that the price per pyeong for a "standard" apartment size exceeded 200 million won.

The founder of Mega MGC Coffee sold 100% of the shares in the operating company, N House, to Woo Yoon and others in June 2021. At the time, the sale price was reported to be 140 billion won.
