"Enjoy a Cool Beer on an Early Summer Night"... Osan Yamak Festival to Be Held June 5-7

Over 300 Types of Craft Beer Showcased at Osaek Market
Flea Market and Performances Also Featured at the Nation's Largest Craft Beer Festival

The 'Yamak Festival,' the largest craft beer event in the country, will be held in the Osaek Market area of Osan, Gyeonggi Province, for three days from June 5 to 7.

Now in its 12th year, the Yamak Festival will take place around Osaek Market, a representative traditional market in the region. This year, under the theme "With Everyone ~ Yamak Festival," the event is planned as a participatory cultural festival created by breweries from across the country, local merchants, and performance teams.

Twenty-six breweries from all over the country will participate in the festival, presenting more than 300 types of craft beer. The venue will also feature a variety of content, including food booths, a flea market, and performances.

This year, the city plans to expand the festival stage to streets that were not previously included in the event area, aiming to revitalize the local commercial district. During the festival, there will also be win-win programs such as a stamp tour for each store and a local small business promotion zone.

On the second day of the festival, June 6, a special event will be held in honor of Memorial Day, offering appreciation to military personnel, police officers, and firefighters. Discount coupons will be provided upon ID verification, and small Taegeukgi flags will be displayed throughout the venue. The performance program will also be composed mainly of quiet pieces to reflect the solemn atmosphere.

The city intends to make this year's festival a sustainable event. Yamak merchandise will be switched from traditional glassware to tumblers to promote eco-friendliness, and a recycling zone will be operated within the venue.

Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "The Yamak Festival is the signature event that best represents the young and vibrant spirit of Osan. We will continue to develop diverse festival content to revitalize traditional markets and the local economy, and to enhance Osan's urban competitiveness."
