The Namdo Jangteo Foundation held the Namdo Jangteo Local Excellent Products Evaluation Meeting at the Suncheon Bay Ecological Culture Education Center on the 28th, aiming to promote the excellence of local agricultural, marine, and livestock products and to expand sales channels.

Held under the theme "The Taste of Namdo, Blossoming on the Table," the evaluation meeting was attended by 33 merchandise planners (MDs) from domestic online distribution companies and about 40 representatives from post office shopping malls across the country. The event provided an opportunity for participants to directly assess the competitiveness of Jeonnam’s agricultural and specialty products.

A total of 60 companies participated in the event, including Namdo Jangteo partner companies and those selected for the Local Product Hall, a support project by the Korea Small and Medium Venture Business Distribution Agency. Approximately 300 products were exhibited. Distribution experts visited each booth to sample products, evaluate their quality, and provide a wide range of feedback on marketability and areas for improvement.

Additionally, a live commerce broadcast booth was set up to stream the event online, introducing Jeonnam food products to consumers nationwide in real time.

In particular, Jeonnam Province, Jeonnam Post Office, Korea Electric Power Corporation, and the Namdo Jangteo Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate for mutual development, economic revitalization in the Jeonnam region, and win-win social contribution activities. They established a cooperative system to expand sales channels for local agricultural, marine, and livestock products and to support marginalized groups. According to the agreement, 1% of sales from Namdo Jangteo-Korea Electric Power Corporation affiliate members will be used for social contribution projects to address welfare blind spots in the Jeonnam region.

Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, stated, "I hope that the quality and value of Jeonnam’s agricultural, marine, and livestock products will be recognized nationwide, and that this will become a reliable sales channel for local farmers and small business owners. Through cooperation with public institutions, we will achieve even greater results."

Han Byungjun, Head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters at Korea Electric Power Corporation, commented, "It is meaningful to present a model of working together with the local community as a public enterprise. With this agreement, we will fulfill the social responsibility of an energy public corporation."

Lee Dongjeong, Head of Jeonnam Post Office, said, "We will actively cooperate to ensure that Jeonnam’s excellent products are delivered to consumers quickly and safely by utilizing the logistics infrastructure and platform of Post Office Shopping."

Kim Kyungho, CEO of Namdo Jangteo, remarked, "I hope that meetings with distribution company MDs will help local farmers, fishers, and small business owners develop diverse sales channels and increase their income. Going forward, Namdo Jangteo will continue to take the lead in supporting the development of Jeonnam’s farmers, fishers, and small business owners through various special exhibitions and company support programs."

Namdo Jangteo is an online shopping mall established by Jeonnam Province to directly connect consumers with agricultural, marine, and livestock products produced in the province, aiming to expand sales channels and increase farmers’ and fishers’ income. Last year, it recorded sales of 49 billion won, contributing to the stable income generation of local agricultural producers.
