Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on May 28 that it has signed a business agreement with ITEyes Co., Ltd. to build a precision medical platform based on medical big data and AI infrastructure.
On May 27, the hospital signed a business agreement with ITEyes Co., Ltd.?a KOSDAQ-listed company specializing in financial IT and healthcare solutions?for the design of a digital integrated medical big data platform and the creation of an AI infrastructure environment.
This agreement was promoted to foster the joint development of the precision medicine and bio big data industry ecosystem through strategic cooperation between Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, a public medical institution, and ITEyes Co., Ltd., a private IT specialist company, and to establish a technology foundation that will lead the future medical environment.
The signing ceremony was attended by Hyungseok Kim, Director of the Biomedical Research Institute at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital; Jaesook An, Head of the Biomedical Research Institute; Sanghee Cho, Director of the Clinical Trial Center; Jisoo Kim, Business Representative of ITEyes Co., Ltd.; Youngcheol Kim, Executive Director; and Jiseok Kim, Principal Researcher.
The two organizations plan to collaborate on: ▲ designing a DT (Data Transformation) and DI (Data Integration) platform based on medical data; ▲ establishing an operational infrastructure for the platform, including AI servers; and ▲ discovering new business opportunities utilizing related technologies.
ITEyes Co., Ltd. will establish a 'Bio Biotechnology Research Center' within the Future Medical Innovation Center at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital and will work to build a precision medical research ecosystem that links real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE). This center is expected to serve as a demonstration-focused digital bio research hub based on high-precision bio data such as genomics and omics.
Jisoo Kim, Business Representative of ITEyes Co., Ltd., stated, "Through close cooperation with Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, we will technically refine and connect on-site medical data, and build a platform that creates real value based on this. By integratively utilizing various medical data, including RWD and RWE, we will further strengthen our competitiveness as a technology company across the entire bio industry, including precision medicine and new drug development."
