Jangsu County Governor Choi Hunsik: "Exercise Your Precious Right to Vote"

Encouraging Participation in the Presidential Election Voting on June 3
County Officials Urged to Lead by Example and Ensure Smooth Voting Process

On May 28, Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province held an executive meeting in the county office conference room, encouraging all public officials to actively participate and show interest in voting in the 21st presidential election, which will take place on June 3.

This regular executive meeting was attended by all key senior officials, including the heads of towns and townships within the county. The meeting began with a call for proactive participation in the early voting, which starts on May 29.

County Governor Choi Hunsik stated, "Voting is the flower of democracy and a precious right of the people. Participation in voting is not merely a political act, but the first step in safeguarding democracy and moving toward a better society. Therefore, public officials must take the lead by participating in voting and practicing voluntary and responsible participation."

He went on to say, "I ask that you thoroughly inspect the polling stations in advance and ensure the smooth operation of both early voting and regular polling stations so that every county resident can cast their valuable vote without inconvenience."

In this 21st presidential election, voters aged 18 and older are eligible to participate, and the number of registered voters in the county reaches approximately 18,500. To encourage voter participation, the county began a relay campaign led by Governor Choi on May 15. Banners displaying the message "Precious rights protected through participation, a united Korea through voting" along with the voting date have been posted on the outer walls of the county office, local town and township offices, and along major roads.

The county also plans to strengthen voter-centered promotional activities and actively conduct multifaceted campaigns using local bulletin boards, electronic displays, the official website, social media, village broadcasts, and administrative telephone connection messages.

Meanwhile, early voting for the 21st presidential election will be held at seven polling stations within the county from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 29 and 30. The main vote will take place at eight polling stations in the county from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 3.
