As the US stock market closed higher following the EU's announcement of a tariff suspension, the KOSPI also opened higher on May 28. As of 10:20 a.m. that day, the KOSPI was up 1.81% at 2,685.33, while the won/dollar exchange rate had risen by 3.10 won to 1,372.70 won.
