Damyang County Successfully Concludes "Solo Escape II, Heartthrob in Damyang" Event

Youth Gathering Event Leads to Five New Couples
"Hope for a Positive Perception of Marriage to Spread"

At the recently held "Solo Escape II, Heartthrob in Damyang" event hosted by the Damyang Family Center, attended by 40 unmarried men and women, Damyang County Governor Jung Chulwon is giving a greeting and advice about marriage. Provided by Damyang County

Damyang County in South Jeolla Province announced on May 28 that it has successfully concluded the "Solo Escape II, Heartthrob in Damyang" event, which was recently held in collaboration with the Damyang Family Center.

This event, held for the second time following last year, was a youth gathering designed to address the issue of population decline by providing young people with opportunities for natural encounters and relationship-building.

The event was attended by 40 unmarried men and women (20 pairs) who either reside in Damyang or work there. Through a variety of programs such as recreation, team mission games, rotation conversations, and self-promotion sessions, the participants had the chance to get to know each other. As a result, three couples were matched during the first "Some Matching" session, and two additional couples were formed during the second "Self-Promotion" session, resulting in a total of five couples.

Governor Jung Chulwon expressed, "I hope this year's event has provided a meaningful opportunity for young people to meet," and added, "We will continue to provide various forms of support to promote a positive perception of marriage and family in the future."

Kim Juyeon, head of the Damyang Family Center, stated, "Due to the high level of interest and active participation from young people in the area, we received an enthusiastic response, even exceeding the planned number of participants," and added, "We will continue to operate a variety of programs that can lead from meeting to marriage."

Meanwhile, a second meeting program titled "Episode II, Another Encounter" is scheduled to be held this weekend for participants who did not form a connection during this event.
