[2025 Apartment Brand Awards] 'My Hills' Expands to Existing Complexes... Innovation in Smart Residential Platforms

Grand Prize - Hyundai Engineering & Construction
Hillstate recognized for redefining residential lifestyle
"My Hills" platform expands smart home services for residents
Hillstate Indeogwon Station Vertex offers premium amenities and connectivity

At the 19th Asia Economy Apartment Brand Awards, the grand prize was awarded to Hyundai Engineering & Construction's "Hillstate." Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which has led the domestic apartment culture, first introduced the brand in 2006. The brand aims to go beyond simply providing residential spaces by positioning itself as a "lifestyle platform." Its goal is to reflect the needs and facets of each resident’s life and to reinterpret lifestyles in new ways.

"Hill" represents a premium residential complex, while "state" signifies high status or dignity. The "H" used in the logo is derived from the initials of both the company name (Hyundai Engineering & Construction) and the brand (Hillstate). The main color, wine (burgundy), is named after the Burgundy region in France, which is famous for its wines. The company explained that this color symbolizes a long history and expertise.

Reflecting these brand values, Hyundai Engineering & Construction decided to apply the exclusive resident service platform "My Hills" not only to newly completed complexes but also to existing residential complexes. It was first implemented as a residential complex service at Hillstate Indeogwon Station Vertex, where residents began moving in at the end of last year.

"My Hills" is a mobile application that allows residents to conveniently use smart home technologies and residential services tailored to each complex. It provides features such as checking sales and contract information, smart home controls, reservations for community facilities, after-sales service (AS) requests, vehicle and visitor management, and energy usage monitoring. The service launched in December 2024.

"My Hills" offers up to 38 residential services depending on the characteristics of each complex. It is organized into four categories: "Our Home," "Community Life," "My," and "Hillstate." In the "Our Home" section, residents can control home appliances based on the home network. Other smart home features using Internet of Things (IoT) technology include security mode for when residents are away, checking electric vehicle charging history, and registering visitor vehicles.

Through "Community Life," residents can easily reserve community facilities, participate in electronic voting, and take surveys. The resident-only community feature "H Nanumteo" supports trading used goods and talent sharing. These features help to foster a community-based residential culture.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction stated, "By applying 'My Hills' to existing residential complexes, more customers can now experience evolving smart home technologies and a wider range of residential services," adding, "We will continue to introduce differentiated residential products and services in line with changing digital trends and lifestyles."

Hillstate Indeogwon Station Vertex is close to Indeogwon Station on Line 4. Various metropolitan transportation networks are planned, including the GTX-C line, Indeogwon?Dongtan line, and Wolgot?Pangyo double-track railway. The area around the complex is densely packed with shopping facilities such as department stores, large supermarkets, traditional markets, and outlets. The surrounding infrastructure includes a sports complex, a general hospital, and a riverside park. The Pyeongchon academy district, known for its school district and nationwide academy cluster, is also nearby.

The complex incorporates a variety of specialized designs, including exterior windows that provide excellent openness, engineered stone kitchen countertops, expanded storage spaces, and individual underground storage for each unit. The exterior features sidewall curtain wall looks. Resident amenities are tailored to main purposes of use, including a kids zone, sports zone, and education zone.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction was the first among domestic construction companies to apply advanced residential technologies such as the Hi-oT smart home system and AI-based Voice Home. The company is also actively introducing new residential formats by applying cutting-edge technologies, such as establishing the "All Life Care House" demonstration facility, which aims to be a future-oriented health-conscious home.
