Guro District (District Mayor Jang Inhong) has newly designated two locations, 'Geukdong Jonghap Shopping Center' and 'Oryu Meokja Alley', as Alley-type Commercial Districts.

An Alley-type Commercial District is a system that allows certain areas with a high concentration of small businesses, such as restaurants and retail shops, to receive support equivalent to that provided to traditional markets. District governments designate and operate these areas to ensure the self-sufficiency of the local alley economy and to revitalize neighborhood commercial zones.

The newly designated 'Geukdong Jonghap Shopping Center Alley-type Commercial District' is located in the area of 28 Gurojungang-ro 7-gil, and the 'Oryu Meokja Alley Alley-type Commercial District' spans across Gyeongin-ro 23-gil and Gyeongin-ro 25-gil.

With this, Guro District now has a total of six Alley-type Commercial Districts, including the existing Gaebong Jungang, Oryu Beodeul Market, Ground Gocheok, and Gaebong Entrance Alley Shopping Districts.

The district plans to promote support projects for revitalizing these commercial districts, such as environmental improvements, promotions, and events, and to boost the vitality of the local economy through customized support tailored to the characteristics of each commercial district and the needs of residents.
