The Korea Aerospace Administration held a ceremony to commemorate the first Aerospace Day on May 27 at its headquarters in Sannam-myeon, Sacheon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, marking the agency's first anniversary.


The event was attended by approximately 150 people, including Jooho Lee, Acting President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Education, as well as officials from central government ministries, experts from industry, academia, and research institutes, and contributors to the aerospace sector.


In his congratulatory address, Acting President Lee stated, "The government will provide full support for challenges aimed at shaping the future of Korea's aerospace sector, with the Korea Aerospace Administration at the center." He added, "We will actively foster the industry through the aerospace cluster and lead the development of core technologies such as reusable launch vehicles and ultra-high-resolution satellites, setting new global standards in aerospace."


On the same day, Acting President Lee visited Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to hold a meeting with representatives from industry, academia, and research institutes, offering words of encouragement to those present.


Acting President Lee emphasized, "Fostering talent in the aerospace field is a key task that will determine our country's technological sovereignty and future competitiveness," adding, "We will provide unwavering support to ensure that universities can play a pivotal role in these strategic areas."
