Yongjun Park, CEO of Samjin Food, and Darom Kim, KNN Announcer, Selected for the Award... Enhancing the Prestige of Their Alma Mater
National Pukyong University presented the '2025 Blue Frontier Award' to Yongjun Park, CEO of Samjin Food, and Darom Kim, announcer at KNN, on the 27th.

President Sanghoon Bae held the award ceremony in the reception room on the third floor of the university headquarters that day. Based on recommendations from the alumni association, the university selected these alumni for the award in recognition of their contributions to enhancing the honor and reputation of their alma mater through their achievements in various fields.
National Pukyong University established the Blue Frontier Award for the first time this year to identify outstanding alumni in anticipation of its 80th anniversary next year. The award ceremony was held during the 79th anniversary celebration week (PKNU WEEK).
Alumnus Yongjun Park, CEO of Samjin Food (Department of Mechanical Engineering, class of 2002), was recognized for his efforts in innovation and challenge, including developing innovative products and expanding the industry to grow Samjin Eomuk into a leading company in Busan, promoting 'K-Eomuk' on the global stage, and presenting a new paradigm for the fish cake industry.
Alumna Darom Kim, announcer at KNN (Department of Systems Management Engineering, class of 2013), was highly praised for her continuous passion and pursuit of her dreams, starting as an announcer at the university broadcasting station, then working as a traffic and weather caster at Ulsan Traffic Broadcasting, a radio DJ at Busan Far East Broadcasting, an announcer at Jinju KBS, and finally as an announcer at KNN.
Following the award ceremony, Yongjun Park and Darom Kim also served as speakers at the Blue Frontier Leadership Special Lecture, where they gave talks to National Pukyong University students and others on topics such as challenge and innovation.
