The signing ceremony was attended by Yangsan Mayor Na Dongyeon, Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology President Jang Inseong, and Nambu Market Merchants’ Association President Kim Sungje. The event was a meaningful occasion to connect the resources of the university and the local community with the traditional market, which serves as the center of the regional economy.

Under this agreement, Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology will regularly operate a variety of educational programs, such as special lectures and project presentations, utilizing the Nambu Theater space on the second floor of Nambu Market. Nambu Market will actively cooperate by providing event spaces and supporting on-site operations.

Yangsan City plans to provide administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth implementation of these programs. In addition, the three organizations will actively promote jointly organized events and programs through both online and offline channels, aiming to enhance the image of the local commercial district and expand the foundation for youth participation.

This agreement is expected to serve as a starting point for creating a new community culture, going beyond simple space sharing to bring together local universities, market merchants, and citizens.

Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "This will be an important opportunity for traditional markets to transform from simple commercial spaces into open community spaces where learning and culture thrive," adding, "We will continue to provide multifaceted support to create traditional markets that all citizens will want to visit."
