Siheung City Seeks Ideas for Youth Festival

Contest Open Until June 19

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province is holding the '2025 Siheung Youth Festival Idea Contest' from May 27 to June 10.

This contest has been organized to fill the Siheung Youth Festival with ideas from young people and the local community, and to lay the foundation for the city's advancement as a youth-friendly city. This year's Siheung Youth Festival is scheduled to take place on September 20 at the Siheung Youth Station and its surrounding area.

The contest is divided into two categories: the 'Siheung Youth Festival Category,' which invites proposals for the festival's name, slogan, and programs, and the 'Siheung-Style Youth-Friendly City Slogan Category,' which seeks slogans supporting Siheung's bid to be designated as a youth-friendly city.

Anyone interested in Siheung City's youth policies may participate. Applicants should refer to the announcement on the Siheung City Hall website and submit the application form and proposal via email to the designated contact person.

The city will select the winners by combining the judges' evaluation scores and the public sympathy scores. A total of 12 winners, six from each category, will be awarded certificates and prize money of up to 250,000 won. The winning entries will be announced on the Siheung City website on June 27.

Shin Kyunghee, head of the Siheung City Youth and Adolescent Department, said, "The ideas discovered through this contest will be actively incorporated into the planning of this year's Youth Festival and the branding of the youth-friendly city."
