Lotte Insurance announced on the 27th that the number of CREW Golf Insurance policies sold through the lifestyle-focused insurance platform Alice has surpassed 100,000.
CREW Golf Insurance saw its subscription rate accelerate after surpassing 40,000 policies in August last year, just one year after its launch. The number exceeded 60,000 in November last year. During the peak golf seasons in spring and fall, nearly 10,000 contracts were signed each month, leading the total to surpass 100,000 in just one year and nine months since its launch.
In addition to basic golf insurance coverage such as hole-in-one expenses and liability, CREW Golf Insurance also provides driver protection, including personal injury fines and criminal settlement payments resulting from traffic accidents.
In August last year, Lotte Insurance expanded the gifting feature of CREW Golf Insurance through a service update. Previously, only single-use plans could be gifted, but now the "N-use plan," which covers up to 50 rounds, can also be gifted using this feature.
The gifted "N-use plan" can be conveniently used by accessing the "N-use" menu in the Alice application, pressing the "Use" button, and simply registering the round schedule.
Lotte Insurance has also started business-to-business (B2B) partnerships to make it easier for consumers to enjoy the benefits of golf insurance. By partnering with ShowGolf, which operates Korea's largest golf reservation platform XGOLF, customers can easily and conveniently access Lotte Insurance's golf insurance products.
ShowGolf Play membership holders who agree to subscribe to the insurance service can book golf rounds through XGOLF and use hole-in-one coupons to receive golf insurance benefits.
A representative from Lotte Insurance stated, "CREW Golf Insurance is a lifestyle solution that offers not just insurance, but also safety and peace of mind as a gift," adding, "With the peak golf season now in full swing, demand for golf insurance continues to rise."
