Pukyong National University (President Sanghoon Bae) and Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jongho Kim) signed a memorandum of understanding for social contribution cooperation in the fields of educational donation and regional coexistence on the morning of the 27th at the reception room on the 3rd floor of the university headquarters of Pukyong National University.
Through this agreement, the two organizations have decided to discover and implement social contribution models in collaboration with the local community, such as joint volunteer activities, and to establish a sustainable system for social contribution cooperation.
As their first project, Pukyong National University and Korea Technology Finance Corporation, together with LG Metro Small Ssamsido Library (Director Kim Mijin) in Nam-gu, Busan, near the university, will launch and operate a local study room program for local youth.
Students from the PKNU Student Volunteer Group at Pukyong National University will serve as mentors for local elementary and middle school students at this location, and Korea Technology Finance Corporation plans to provide scholarships to participating university students.
In addition, the two organizations plan to promote various cooperative projects, including the formation and operation of a joint volunteer group, holding science quiz competitions for children, operating career experience programs for university students and local children, and jointly forming environmental clubs and conducting climate education.
Furthermore, the two organizations have agreed to continue developing and cooperating on projects that realize social value by jointly planning and developing programs related to educational donation and regional coexistence, as well as sharing related facilities, human networks, and knowledge information resources as infrastructure.
Pukyong National University operates a variety of volunteer programs, including its flagship PKNU Student Volunteer Group, and is engaged in coexistence and social contribution activities targeting both the local community and domestic and international audiences.
