This training was organized to ensure the soundness and transparency of public financial management. The main objectives were to improve practical understanding of the recovery procedures and the standards for imposing additional sanctions.
Approximately 120 officials responsible for public financial payments attended the training. Im Hanna, Assistant Director of the Public Financial Recovery Management Division at the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, served as the instructor. She provided detailed explanations on the purpose and significance of enacting the Public Financial Recovery Act, major cases of fraudulent claims by business sector, as well as the recovery procedures and standards for imposing additional sanctions.
Afterwards, quizzes were used for questions and answers to enhance the concentration and interest of the participants.
In particular, by focusing on major cases of fraudulent claims, the training provided detailed explanations on the recovery procedures and the imposition of additional sanctions, thereby enhancing the practical understanding of public officials.
Mayor Baek Younghyeon of Pocheon City stated, "We will continue to conduct internal inspections and training to prevent improper receipt of public financial payments in advance, and will do our utmost to ensure the soundness and transparency of public financial management."
