Gwangju Bukgu District announced on May 27 that it will operate a career exploration program called "Dreams Unfolding at the Library" in celebration of Youth Week.
This program is designed to help adolescents discover their aptitudes and develop self-identity. It will be held at Ilgok Library from May 28 to June 1.
The hands-on experience program consists of five career fields: YouTuber, drone pilot, gardener, dancer, and leather craftsman. Practical sessions will include video shooting and editing, drone flight practice, creating companion plants, learning K-POP dance, and making leather keyrings.
The program is open to youth in third grade of elementary school and above. Each session will accept up to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Participation is free of charge. Applications can be submitted online through the Bukgu Integrated Library website, and further information is available by contacting the Bukgu District Library Division.
In addition, a themed book exhibition on self-realization and inner growth will be held. Under the theme "You Are Invited, Into My World!", the exhibition will feature 20 books?including novels, essays, and psychology books?that support the formation of adolescent self-identity. The exhibition will run until June 1 in the general reference room of Ilgok Library.
