The Department of Smart Farm at Chungnam Provincial College announced on May 27 that it visited the Iksan Campus of Korea Polytechnic University to conduct a "Practical Training on Electric Control Technology for Smart Farm Control Box Production."
This hands-on training focused on improving understanding and practical skills related to smart farm automation equipment by allowing participants to directly experience tasks such as configuring electrical circuits, installing circuit breakers, connecting wiring, and understanding the operating principles of relays.
The training program consisted of the following: ▲ Theory and safety education related to smart farm control devices ▲ Practical assembly and wiring of circuit breakers, switches, and relay components ▲ Demonstrations of power supply and controller operation ▲ Group presentations and feedback sessions.
A student who participated in the training shared, "By connecting the wiring and circuit breakers myself, I was able to understand the operating principles of the controller much more easily," adding, "I have gained confidence in my ability to handle smart farm equipment independently."
Kim Taewon, a professor in the Department of Smart Farm, stated, "The core of smart farm automation equipment lies in understanding electricity and control technology," and added, "This hands-on training will have been a great help in acquiring technical skills and clarifying career paths."
Meanwhile, the Department of Smart Farm at Chungnam Provincial College plans to continue expanding practical, field-oriented training through strengthened cooperation with specialized institutions, and to foster key local talent equipped with the job skills required in the field of smart agriculture.
