The "Korea University Leaders 120 Multicultural Talent Scholarship Program" was established in 2024 to commemorate the university's 120th anniversary and is designed for new undergraduate students from multicultural families. Through this scholarship program, Korea University plans to select a total of 120 scholarship recipients by 2030 and allocate a total budget of 4 billion won.

Eligible recipients are students from multicultural families in which one or both parents have naturalized as Korean citizens. Priority is given to new students, but current students may also be selected within the budget. Each scholarship recipient receives up to 4.2 million won per semester (700,000 won per month) as living expenses.

The ceremony, held on May 23 at the SK Future Hall on the main campus, was attended by more than 50 people, including President Dongwon Kim, university staff, and scholarship recipients. President Kim encouraged the students by saying, "Scholarship recipients are not merely beneficiaries, but protagonists in creating a better future for humanity. I hope that today marks the beginning of your journey as leaders of a new era."

Heo Minwook, a representative of the scholarship recipients, expressed his gratitude by saying, "After entering the Department of Sociology at Korea University, I aspired to become a certified public accountant. With the sacrifices of my parents and the support of my alma mater, I have now passed the CPA exam. I will strive to share the warmth I have received with my juniors."
