The Daejeon city government announced that, in order to generate excitement for the '2025 Daejeon 0si Festival,' it will conduct the Daejeon Bread Truck National Tour for two months from the end of May through July, visiting major hub cities such as Busan, Chungju, Boryeong, and Sejong.
Starting with the Busan National University festival from May 29 to 30, the tour will visit the Chungju Dive Festival from June 13 to 15, the Van Gogh exhibition at the Daejeon Museum of Art on June 21, a special promotional event for government officials at the Sejong Government Complex on June 25, the Hanwha Life Ballpark KBO All-Star Game on July 12, and the Boryeong Mud Festival on July 26 and 27, among other major events across the country.
Now in its second season, the Daejeon Bread Truck has become even more vibrant this year. The tour bus, wrapped with '0si Festival' and 'Kkumssi Family' characters, draws visual attention. On-site activities include giveaways of locally famous bread and Kkumdori ramen, a roulette game, OX quizzes, nostalgic claw machine games, Kkumssi merchandise prize events, EDM parties, and Kkumdori mascot performances.
The city expects that the tour will strengthen Daejeon's urban brand value and lead to increased nationwide interest and participation in the upcoming 0si Festival in August.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "I hope everyone across the country will experience and enjoy the true charm of Jamjam City Daejeon through the Daejeon Bread Truck," and added, "I look forward to the excitement of this tour leading to the success of the Daejeon 0si Festival in August."
Meanwhile, the '2025 Daejeon 0si Festival' will be held for nine days from August 8 to 16 along Jungang-ro and throughout the original downtown area of Daejeon.
