This program is open to Ulleung County residents aged 40 to 64 and includes a total of three psychological assessments: degree of depression, suicidal tendencies, and personality type (PTI). The assessments can be conveniently completed via a smartphone link, making it easy for anyone to check their psychological status.
In addition, based on the assessment results, participants can be connected to professional psychological counseling services. This is expected to provide practical support to residents experiencing mental health challenges.
Residents who wish to participate can pre-register with the Ulleung County Mental Health Welfare Center starting May 26, 2025.
An official from the Ulleung County Mental Health Welfare Center stated, "Middle age is a turning point in life, making it more important than ever to regularly check and manage one's mental health. Through this program, we will actively support middle-aged and older adults in maintaining a healthier and more stable life."
The center plans to continue operating a variety of customized programs that reflect local characteristics and needs to further improve residents' mental health in the future.
