The selected films, which will receive a total of 9.93 billion won in support, are as follows: "My Name Is" directed by Jung Ji-young (890 million won), "Your Target" directed by Byun Young-joo (1.5 billion won), "Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land" directed by Jang Hoon (1.5 billion won), "Homemade Meal" directed by Heo In-moo (600 million won), "Spring" directed by Kim Yong-gyun (1 billion won), "Island of Dogs" directed by Park Dae-min (1 billion won), "Andong" directed by Kim Sun-kyung (1.2 billion won), "Six Lying College Students" directed by Kwon Oh-kwang (1 billion won), and "Taste of Prison" directed by Kim Jung-gu (1.24 billion won).
Jury chairman Oh Ki-hwan stated, "These are works with enough potential to achieve meaningful results. Although Korean cinema is facing difficult times, I firmly believe that there are answers within these challenges. I am confident that this program will become one of those answers."
The Mid-Budget Korean Film Production Support Program was introduced by the Korean Film Council for the first time this year to improve the film investment and production environment, which has been weakened by the polarization of box office success. The program provides partial production funding for films with budgets ranging from 2 billion to 8 billion won, which play a central role in the Korean film industry. A total of 120 films applied, and after a preliminary and final review process, the final recipients and support amounts were determined.
