Trump's Niece Says "My Uncle Is a Very Problematic Person... He Wants to Rule for Life"

Mary Trump, Daughter of the Eldest Son of the Trump Family
Cuts Ties with Donald Trump... Continues Criticism and Revelations

Mary Trump, the niece of U.S. President Donald Trump who has cut ties with him and continued to expose and strongly criticize him, stated that President Trump is "a very problematic person" and claimed, "He wants to rule for life."

Mary, a clinical psychologist and author, gave a podcast interview with the British daily Telegraph on May 24 (local time) to mark the release of her memoir "Who Could Ever Love You," which recounts her experiences growing up in the Trump family. In the interview, Mary offered an in-depth analysis of President Trump's personality and behavior.

Mary claimed that her uncle Donald "was always an idiot" from a young age, asserting that his character flaws were evident since childhood. She also expressed concern that President Trump intends to disregard the Constitution and maintain the presidency permanently. She pointed out, "This reflects his unwillingness to relinquish power." She added, "He would tell people to try and remove him if they could," and questioned, "If he loses an election, is there an enforcement mechanism to remove someone from office? We've never faced this issue before, so I don't know."

Mary is the daughter of Fred Trump Jr., the eldest son of the Trump family. Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, she published a tell-all memoir, "Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man," which exposed the family's secrets and became a bestseller. In this book, she argued that President Trump is dishonest, lacks empathy, and is both a narcissist and a sociopath.

In her recent interview, Mary reiterated the claims made in her book, stating, "If Trump were subjected to various psychological tests, he would likely be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder." She explained that people with such diagnoses "know the difference between right and wrong, but simply do not care," adding, "At the extreme end of this spectrum are psychopaths and sociopaths." She continued, "If we understand that anxiety and fear of failure are what drive Trump, that is his weakness," emphasizing, "We need to apply pressure precisely at that point."

Mary also said that even after losing the 2020 presidential election, President Trump did not lose his power and remained the de facto leader of the Republican Party. She continued her criticism of the Democratic Party as well, pointing out that the Democrats "underestimated the possibility of Trump's re-election and failed to respond appropriately."
