The TPO CLIP program, launched in 2009, is an international exchange-based educational initiative designed to nurture talent in the tourism sector. It introduces the culture, language, and tourism resources of member cities to young people worldwide and aims to foster the next generation of professionals in tourism.

This year, the program will be held over eight days and seven nights from July 26 to August 2, spanning four cities in Perak, Malaysia: Ipoh, Kampar, Taiping, and Manjung. Participants will have the opportunity to experience Malaysia's traditional culture, tourism resources, and language, while engaging in international exchange activities.

The program is open to 30 to 40 young people from around the world. Anyone interested in Malaysian culture and language, or in language exchange and interaction with international participants, is eligible to apply.

Key components of the program include opening and closing ceremonies, tourism and language education, hands-on experiences with local tourism resources, and team projects. While participants are responsible for their own airfare, all local expenses will be covered by the host city governments. All participants will receive a welcome kit, a certificate of completion, opportunities to serve as TPO tourism supporters, and invitations to TPO-hosted events.

Notably, this year's M-CLIP marks the first time the program, which has previously been held mainly in Korea, will be expanded overseas. It is expected to provide a platform for both domestic and international youth to develop a global perspective and grow into global talents in the tourism sector through exchange activities.

Kang Daeun, Secretary-General of TPO, stated, "M-CLIP is more than just a talent development and education program; it serves as an important venue for exploring new possibilities in tourism through intercity connections and cooperation. We will continue to strengthen our efforts to provide meaningful international experiences for future talents in tourism and to build regional cooperation models through M-CLIP."

TPO also plans to host the Korean Culture & Language Immersion Program (K-CLIP) from October 19 to 29 in four Korean cities: Andong, Mungyeong, Daegu, and Busan. The program will introduce global youth to Korean culture and language, offering them a wealth of experiences.

For more details and application forms, please visit the TPO website. Final participants will be selected within approximately one week after the application deadline.
