81 Cases, 5.78 Million Won Paid Out
Gwangsan District in Gwangju announced on the 26th that it has fully paid all outstanding non-tax revenue (general accounting) refunds.
According to Gwangsan District, there were a total of 577 cases of non-tax revenue refunds last year, amounting to 469 million won. Of these, 81 cases totaling 5.78 million won had not been refunded for over a year due to reasons such as lack of contact information or lack of interest in small amounts.
In order to ensure that the five-year statute of limitations was not exceeded, the district established a collaborative system between the departments responsible for assessment and refunds starting in October of last year, and provided refund notifications through various means such as phone calls, mail, and Kakao Alimtalk messages.
The refunds were completed over a seven-month period from October 28 of last year to May 21 of this year, and all refunds were paid via account deposit.
