Organizations in Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin Announce 'Relay Support Declaration for Lee Jae Myung'

Moon Geumjoo: "Doing My Utmost for the Victory of Prepared Candidate Lee Jaemyung"

Since the 18th, the "Relay Support Declaration for Candidate Lee Jae Myung" by various organizations and local residents in the Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin areas has been continuing, starting with the Goheung County Fishermen's Association and the Kim Producers Association. Democratic Party lawmaker Moon Geumjoo (representing Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin in South Jeolla Province) announced on the 26th that various organizations and local residents in the Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin areas have been continuing their "Relay Support Declaration for Candidate Lee Jae Myung."

Starting with the Goheung County Fishermen's Association and the Kim Producers Association on the 18th, the relay of support declarations has continued with the Boseong County Korean Beef Association and residents of Daechon and Busoo villages on the 20th; the Gangjin County Fish Farming Association, the Association of Prospective Forestry Workers and forestry workers, and the Fishermen's Association on the 21st; the Jeonnam Branch of the Korea Artificial Insemination Association for Livestock in Jangheung County on the 22nd; and the Beolgyo Gosangdongbu Nonghoe in Boseong County on the 24th.

These organizations and local residents pointed out, "Over the past three years, the indifference and incompetent agricultural policies of the Yoon Suk Yeol administration have made the lives of farmers increasingly difficult and accelerated the hollowing out of rural communities, leaving Korean agriculture and rural areas on the brink."

They went on to welcome Lee Jae Myung's pledges to ▲ increase the food self-sufficiency rate ▲ stabilize farm household income ▲ create rural communities where people want to live ▲ establish a sustainable agricultural structure. They emphasized, "Candidate Lee Jae Myung's agricultural and fisheries pledges are not just for farmers and fishermen, but represent food welfare for all citizens and a sustainable choice that protects the environment and ecology."

Moon Geumjoo stated, "The true Republic of Korea and genuine agricultural policy will begin anew from now on," and added, "I will do my utmost to ensure the overwhelming victory of Candidate Lee Jae Myung, who is prepared to save farmers and fishermen standing on the edge."

Meanwhile, this support declaration is being evaluated as a symbolic case in which agricultural and fisheries workers in Goheung, Boseong, Jangheung, and Gangjin have taken the initiative to demand normalization of agricultural policy and have expressed their expectations for Candidate Lee Jae Myung's agricultural policies.
