Doosan Enerbility Targets U.S. Gas Turbine Market... Partners with Korea South Power

Presentation of Non-OEM Technology at the 7F Users Group Conference
Highlighting Maintenance and Replacement Technology for Key Gas Turbine Components
Strategy to Expand Business through U.S. Subsidiary

Doosan Enerbility has begun to actively target the North American gas turbine service market. The company, together with Korea South Power, participated in the world's largest gas turbine conference to showcase its gas turbine service capabilities based on domestic technology. Doosan Enerbility is focusing on the United States, where approximately 660 out of more than 940 units of the 150MW-class gas turbine '7F' series supplied worldwide are currently in operation.

Doosan Enerbility announced on the 26th that, together with Korea South Power, it participated in the '7F Users Group Conference' held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, for five days starting from the 19th. This conference is held for global power generation companies operating the '7F' series gas turbines to share maintenance technologies and operational know-how. This year marks the 35th edition of the event.

Doosan Enerbility Targets U.S. Gas Turbine Market... Partners with Korea South Power On the 20th (local time), at the '7F User Group Conference' held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, Korea South Power and Doosan Enerbility are conducting a joint presentation as user and supplier. Doosan Enerbility

At the conference, Doosan Enerbility and Korea South Power delivered a joint presentation on the topic of 'Non-OEM Performance Improvement Success Cases.' Non-OEM maintenance refers to maintenance services performed by a third party other than the original manufacturer, and includes the ability to carry out design and parts replacement using proprietary technology. Doosan Enerbility has entered the non-OEM market by independently developing core components such as high-temperature parts.

This presentation is part of the activities of the 'Gas Turbine Export Community Team Korea,' which was formed by Doosan Enerbility and Korea South Power in January. It was the first time that both the user and the supplier shared the stage together. Lee Hwaseop, Deputy General Manager of the Busan Bitdream Headquarters at Korea South Power, explained the background for adopting domestic technology and the economic benefits from the operator's perspective. Scott Keller, Director of Doosan Enerbility's U.S. subsidiary DTS (Doosan Turbomachinery Services), emphasized the competitiveness of core technologies such as rotors, casings, and high-temperature components.

Doosan Enerbility plans to use DTS as a base to accelerate its business in the North American market. DTS is a specialized gas turbine service subsidiary located in Houston, USA, and has the capability to respond to local customers. A Doosan Enerbility representative stated, "Together with our partners, we will create a competitive gas turbine service ecosystem in the global market."

In particular, on the 20th during the event, Doosan Enerbility and Korea South Power signed a contract for the refurbishment and maintenance of 7F gas turbines. Although the contract size was not disclosed, it is significant as the first refurbishment and maintenance contract carried out entirely with domestic technology. The contract is a maintenance solution that includes inspection, repair, and replacement of key components to maintain and improve the performance and lifespan of the gas turbines.
