As global services for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications are expected to become fully operational, shares of Intellian Technologies, a satellite communication antenna manufacturer, are on the rise.
As of 9:27 a.m. on May 26, Intellian Technologies was trading at 42,250 won, up 2,500 won (6.29%) from the previous trading day.
On this day, NH Investment & Securities commented on Intellian Technologies, stating, "The long-awaited moment for the business to blossom is not far off." The firm did not provide an investment opinion or target price.
Shim Euisub, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, explained, "Since March, there has been a continued trend of caution against increasing reliance on Starlink's LEO services, due to issues such as Ukraine military aid policy and tariff disputes. In this context, OneWeb is emerging as an alternative, and its adoption is expanding, particularly in Europe."
Researcher Shim said, "Intellian Technologies, as the largest supplier of terminals for OneWeb satellite communications, is expected to benefit. OneWeb has recently signed contracts with various distribution partners, and it is analyzed that inventory of flat-type antenna products has been depleted since last year." He added, "From the second quarter, a turnaround in performance and a sharp growth trend are expected."
