People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo, during a campaign rally in Nonsan, Chungnam on the 25th, targeted Democratic Party candidate Lee Jaemyung, stating, "Someone who creates 'bulletproof laws' to cover up their crimes should go to prison, not become president."

He continued, "I have committed no crimes, so I have neither a bulletproof vest nor bulletproof glass," and added, "I will become an honest president and make Korea a greater and happier nation."

The campaign event, held at the Homeplus Square in Nonsan on this day, was attended by lawmakers Sung Iljong, Kang Sunyoung, Park Chungkwon, Lee Hyunseung, Kim Hyundong, former lawmaker Lee Inje, and about 3,000 party members and supporters.

Kim, again targeting Lee Jaemyung, said, "When the Supreme Court remanded the case with a guilty verdict for spreading false information, the idea of impeaching the Chief Justice is an attempt to undermine the judiciary." He further pointed out, "The proposal to increase the number of Supreme Court justices to 100 and to refer Supreme Court decisions to the Constitutional Court is a destruction of the rule of law."

He went on to criticize, "Does it make sense for someone currently facing five trials to become president and then create laws to halt those trials? This is exactly what 'bulletproof laws' are."

Kim also stated, "Lee Jaemyung has surrounded himself with a bulletproof vest, bulletproof glass, and even bulletproof laws?a triple shield," and added, "These laws are meant to hide his crimes and are an act of disregarding the people."

He further argued, "I made Gyeonggi Province's public sector the cleanest in the country, but when Lee was governor, he lowered public integrity to the lowest level nationwide."

He concluded by appealing for support, saying, "If I, a person of integrity, become president, I will make Korea a country without corruption. On June 3, we cannot entrust the nation to someone hiding behind bulletproof shields. Let us judge decisively and win decisively."
