Gyeonggi Province Receives 777 Applications for G-STAR Audition Contest... Total Prize of 115 Million Won Offered

A total of 777 teams applied for the 'Gyeonggi Startup Contest' (G-STAR Audition) organized by Gyeonggi Province, resulting in a highly competitive ratio of 77.7 to 1. This represents an increase of 356 teams (84.5%) compared to last year's 421 teams.


The G-STAR Audition is a startup competition open to aspiring entrepreneurs and companies within seven years of establishment from across the country. It seeks to discover entrepreneurs with outstanding ideas, regardless of region, and supports them with business development funding and opportunities for global expansion.

In the finals next month, 30 teams will be selected. Following this, 10 teams will be chosen through an open presentation evaluation held at the startup expo, which will be linked to the '2025 Gyeonggi Startup Summit' taking place on October 1-2.


Gyeonggi Province will award a total of 115 million won in prize money to the 10 teams. In addition, priority will be given to these teams for startup expo booths.


Park Yangdeok, Director of Venture Startups at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Despite the ongoing downward pressure on the economy, we were able to vividly witness the enthusiasm for entrepreneurship through this contest. We will continue to provide endless opportunities so that creative and ambitious entrepreneurs can fully realize their dreams."
