Successive Declarations by K-Initiative and Special Committees
Sports, Labor, and Environmental Groups Also Say "We Will Run Together"
Civil society organizations, including cultural and artistic figures from the Gwangju region, are publicly expressing their support for Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jaemyung, with the wave of endorsements continuing to spread.

According to the Democratic Party on the 24th, the "K-Initiative Cultural Powerhouse Forum 168" announced its support at the Gwangju City Party election liaison office the previous day. The group stated, "Candidate Lee Jaemyung is a politician who knows how to respect the arts as a partner in democracy rather than as a tool of power," and described their support as "an act of determination by artists to protect freedom of expression."
Previously, 3,252 people under the name of the Gwangju Special Committee for Culture and the Arts, followed by 300 figures from the Gwangju cultural and artistic community, had declared their support. As a result, a total of 3,720 cultural and artistic figures from the Gwangju region have participated in declarations of support for Lee.
In addition, the Democratic Party's Central Election Committee Sports Committee visited the city party office, with 25 committee members representing 669 sports figures, and stated, "Candidate Lee does not turn a blind eye to unfairness and corruption, and is a politician who understands the value of hard work."
The Buk-gu Labor Union Council under the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions also declared its support. The council evaluated, "Candidate Lee has prioritized the rights and interests of workers and has been dedicated to building a fair society."
Furthermore, the Gwangju City Tourism Association, the Alley Committee, and the Climate Crisis Carbon Neutrality Committee also joined in the declarations of support on the same day.
