Lee Junseok Launches Relentless Attacks on Jaemyung Lee During Campaign: "Liar, Step Down Voluntarily"

Says, "No Room for a Liar Behind Delusional Patient Yoon"

On May 24, Junseok Lee, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, directly targeted Democratic Party candidate Jaemyung Lee during a campaign event in the Seoul metropolitan area. Using the controversy over the "election fraud theory" that arose during the previous day's televised debate as a focal point, Lee accused Jaemyung Lee of "telling a blatant lie to the public" and urged him to voluntarily withdraw from the race.

Junseok Lee visited Noryangjin Goshichon on the same day and told reporters, "He did not make a mistake in front of the public; he actively fabricated a lie." He argued that during the previous day's TV debate, he had pointed out that "candidate Jaemyung Lee had previously supported the election fraud theory," but that Jaemyung Lee's denial was not in line with the facts.

Junseok Lee stated, "It is clear that (Jaemyung Lee) once believed in election fraud and made claims regarding manual vote counting, but he lied by saying, 'I only called it election fraud because of the National Intelligence Service's intervention.'

After sharing a meal with young people in Noryangjin Goshichon, Junseok Lee continued his intensive campaign across the Suwon and Seongnam areas in Gyeonggi Province on the same day.

During a rally at Seohyeon Station in Seongnam, Lee said, "Yesterday during the TV debate, I asked, 'Why did you loudly promote the election fraud theory and conspiracy theories around 2017?' and right there, Jaemyung Lee told a blatant lie. How can someone lie to the public when the evidence is so clear? In a place where President Seokyeol Yoon, whom I call a 'delusional patient,' has been, there is no room for a liar."

He continued, "Even among the conspiracy theories Jaemyung Lee is known to have been immersed in, there are many. Not only the election fraud theory, but it also seems that Jaemyung Lee does not believe the Cheonanham incident was the act of North Korea. In the Republic of Korea, there may be people with left-leaning or right-leaning views, but at the very least, we must reject conspiracy theories that are logically nonsensical," he criticized.

At the Suwon Station rally, Lee said, "Liar Jaemyung Lee keeps making the absurd claim that canceling a hotel reservation somehow leads to economic development. Shouldn't we make sure that the future of Korea is not based on a 'no-show economy'?"

He further argued, "If, in this presidential election, we choose the populist named Jaemyung Lee in order to judge the insurrectionist forces of President Seokyeol Yoon and his group, we may end up, for the first time in about 40 years, clearing up an insurrection only to face a crisis like the IMF in 30 years."
