Kim Yongtae, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, and Na Kyungwon, a member of the National Assembly, have begun efforts to win over voters in the Gyeongnam region.
On the afternoon of May 24, Kim and Na visited the Sangnam Market intersection in Seongsan District, Changwon City, Gyeongnam, to campaign in support of candidate Kim Moonsu.

Chairman Kim declared, "This presidential election is a contest between a reflective conservative party and an arrogant progressive party," and added, "We will admit our mistakes when we are wrong, and acknowledge our achievements when we do well. We will recognize merit as merit and faults as faults, and we will change and grow further. We will pursue such honest politics."
He continued, "This presidential election is also a battle between common sense and irrationality," and stated, "We will keep our promise to amend the Constitution for the 7th Republic, engage in dialogue despite differences in opinion, and practice politics that narrow the gap in thinking."
Na Kyungwon said, "We must revive our severely struggling economy and protect democracy," and added, "This election will determine whether we allow the Democratic Party candidate's one-man dictatorship to continue or uphold the rule of law."
She also appealed, "Due to policies that have completely dismantled nuclear power plants, Changwon, once the industrial center of Korea, has shrunk," and urged, "I hope you will elect a candidate who can revive Changwon with real economic expertise and proven achievements."
They emphasized, "Changwon is a key hub for shipbuilding and defense industries that even the United States would envy, and it is where major parts and equipment are manufactured." They pledged to expand the Changwon Free Economic Zone, open the Gadeok New Airport high-speed railway, expedite the opening of the Southern Inland Railway, and establish the CTX Changwon Line.
