Lee Jaemyung vs Kim Moonsoo: Fierce Clash from the Start
People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo directly criticized Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jaemyung on the 23rd, saying, "For national unity to be achieved, lies and swindlers must disappear."
In response, Lee said, "Didn't you call a firefighter and say, 'I'm Kim Moonsun too'? You should not abuse your power in such a way," criticizing Kim's actions.

During the second TV debate on social issues, hosted by the National Election Commission that evening, Kim pointed out, "When Lee received a Supreme Court remand ruling with the intent of a guilty verdict for spreading false information, he talked about impeaching the Chief Justice and tried to handle even the Supreme Court justices as he pleased."
Kim also said, "While the vice governor is in prison for an illegal remittance to North Korea, the Gyeonggi Province governor remains unscathed. How many people died under suspicious circumstances due to the Baekhyeondong and Daejang-dong corruption scandals? Eradicating lies and corruption is the first step toward national unity."
Kim continued, "Lee says, 'From now on, it's for real.' Was everything before that a fake Republic of Korea? I find it truly baffling. Is someone who says such things a real bachelor or a fake bachelor, a real prosecutor or an impersonator of a prosecutor?"
He added, "The Democratic Party is trying to revise the law so that those who tell the most lies benefit, by deleting the crime of spreading false information under the Public Official Election Act. Does that make any sense? How can you talk about a truly genuine Republic of Korea while continuing to lie and impersonate a bachelor and a prosecutor?"
He went on to say, "Let's use our precious votes to defeat the fakes. Let's replace the fakes and create truly just politics."

Lee countered, "The biggest factor currently hindering unity in our society is this rebellion that destroyed the constitutional order, which is the highest norm of our community."
Lee said, "If we do not clearly investigate the truth and hold those responsible for this attempt to ignore the Constitution, trample on human rights, and seek long-term dictatorship, such incidents will continue to happen. The People Power Party, to which Kim belongs, also holds a position of defending Yoon Seokyeol, the ringleader of the rebellion."
He continued, "The Korean people must hold those responsible for this issue to account. That is exactly what the June 3 election is about. Kim is by no means free from this responsibility either," he emphasized.
In particular, regarding Kim's mention of the 'forced hospitalization of his brother and abusive language toward his sister-in-law' incident, Lee said, "This is a deeply private family issue. If we must point fingers, didn't you yourself abuse your power? You should not abuse your power in such a way," he pointed out.
