DPK Holds On-Site Central Election Committee Meeting in South Gyeongsang..."Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity"

On May 23, the Democratic Party of Korea held its first on-site Central Election Countermeasures Committee meeting at the party's South Gyeongsang Provincial Office in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.

At the meeting, Park Chandae, the Standing General Election Committee Chairman, stated, "We are holding our first on-site Central Election Committee meeting here in South Gyeongsang," and added, "Starting today, we will travel for three days and two nights through South Gyeongsang, Ulsan, and Busan, and we will thoroughly explain to the citizens our plan to make the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity the maritime capital of Korea."

The National Territorial Spatial Innovation Committee (co-chaired by Kim Kyungsoo and Kim Taenyeon) visited the Changwon National Industrial Complex for its first listening tour since the committee's establishment. The committee held an event at Shinsung Delta Tech in the Changwon National Industrial Complex titled "Listening to the Voices on the Ground: The Future of Gyeongnam as the Mecca of Manufacturing AI (Artificial Intelligence)." Afterwards, they held a roundtable with field workers and experts to discuss topics such as nurturing talent and building infrastructure to strengthen the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in the Gyeongnam region, as well as strategies for a megacity by region.

Previously, presidential candidate Lee Jaemyung pledged to actively support the digital transformation of traditional manufacturing industries in the Gyeongnam region, develop manufacturing-specialized AI models and platforms, and swiftly promote the transition to digitally integrated smart industrial complexes.
