The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a survey on "Management Difficulties and Institutional Improvement Tasks of Member Companies" to improve the business environment of local companies and to develop effective policies.

The survey will be conducted from the 26th of this month until June 13, targeting approximately 2,500 member companies of the chamber and other local businesses. The purpose of this survey is to broadly collect improvement requests across various areas, including regulations, systems, and support policies that companies experience firsthand in the field. Participating company representatives will receive a small commemorative gift.

The results of the survey will not be limited to simply gathering opinions. The chamber plans to systematically organize the findings and submit them as policy proposals to the National Assembly and relevant government ministries, aiming for actual institutional improvements. In addition, the chamber will actively pursue problem-solving activities through various official channels, including meetings with local members of the National Assembly.

Last year, the Gwangju Chamber identified and submitted a total of 44 proposals, including 12 cases of institutional improvement, 7 cases of business support, 12 cases of local issues, and 13 support activities for the relocation of the Gwangju military airport. Of these, 18 cases were either fully or partially accepted, resulting in tangible achievements.

Han Sangwon, Chairman of the Gwangju Chamber, stated, "Institutional improvements that do not reflect the voices from the business field have limitations for the sustainable growth of companies," adding, "We will strive for closer communication with our member companies to ensure that our efforts lead to tangible results that local businesses can truly experience."

He further added, "I hope this survey will serve as a meaningful opportunity to reflect the real difficulties faced by local companies in policy, and I ask for the active participation and suggestions of our member companies."
