Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province announced on the 23rd that it had conducted a street campaign to share awareness of "carbon neutrality practice" at the 15th Gokseong World Rose Festival on the 22nd, together with about 50 members from the township and town branches of the Gokseong County Life Improvement Association, led by President Lee Jisook.

During the campaign, county officials and members of the Gokseong County Life Improvement Association promoted the message "Starting with Me, Practice Carbon Neutrality in Daily Life" with placards aimed at visitors to the rose festival, receiving an enthusiastic response from tourists.

The Gokseong County Life Improvement Association continued its eco-friendly efforts at the festival booth as well. By actively using reusable containers within the event venue to reduce single-use items, they minimized waste generation and encouraged visitors to refrain from using disposable products.

A county official stated, "We plan to continue promoting various activities in the local community to practice carbon neutrality, such as reducing the use of disposable products."
