According to the Gwangju Office of Education on May 23, this program is part of the "Global Culture Experience Special Program," which is designed to help students develop a global perspective and multicultural sensitivity by experiencing various national cultures firsthand at their schools.

This year, the program was conducted at Dongsung Middle School and Pyeongdong Elementary School in Gwangju, which either have a high proportion of multicultural students or have been designated as research or policy schools related to multicultural education. At the event, native instructors from Taiwan, Spain, Russia, Senegal, and Kazakhstan, affiliated with the Gwangju International Center, participated and presented country-specific experience programs such as traditional dance, drawing traditional patterns, paper crafts, and quizzes.

Director Lim Miok said, "I hope this will be an opportunity for students to vividly experience diverse cultures and naturally develop the sensitivity and attitude of global citizens."
