Doosan Construction Donates 17 Million KRW to Improve Housing for Vulnerable Groups in Busan

Doosan Construction has made a generous donation to improve the housing environment for vulnerable groups in the Busan area.

On May 22, Busan Metropolitan City held a donation ceremony at the City Hall International Protocol Room. The funds were raised through ticket and merchandise sales from the '2025 Doosan Construction We've Championship' golf tournament.

The ceremony was attended by Joonseung Lee, Deputy Mayor of Busan; Seouk Oh, Executive Director of Doosan Construction; Hyunju Yoo, a professional golfer with the Doosan Construction We've Golf Team; and Sutae Lee, Chairman of the Busan Community Chest of Korea.

On this day, Doosan Construction donated 17 million KRW to the Busan Community Chest of Korea. The funds will be used to improve the housing environment for households with discharged patients who require care, including installing safety bars, removing door thresholds, adding anti-slip features, and installing support handles.

Doosan Construction continues to engage in social contribution activities with the local community. In addition to supporting disaster recovery and providing assistance to people with disabilities and vulnerable groups, the company also organizes volunteer activities in which its employees participate directly.

Executive Director Seouk Oh said, "It is meaningful to be able to give back to society the attention and support we received from citizens through the championship tournament," and added, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a sustainable sharing partner."

Deputy Mayor Joonseung Lee stated, "Doosan Construction's donation will provide substantial help in improving the housing environment for vulnerable groups," and added, "The city will work together with the private sector to address welfare blind spots."
