The 22nd Suncheon Mayor's Gateball Tournament Successfully Concludes

Over 250 Club Members Gather for a Festival of Unity

The 22nd Suncheon Mayor's Gateball Tournament was held successfully at National Garden Zone B on May 22, 2025.

This tournament was hosted by Suncheon City, jointly organized by the Suncheon City Sports Council and the Suncheon City Gateball Association. More than 250 gateball enthusiasts from 27 local branches participated and competed in good spirits. At the end of the tournament, the Haeryong branch claimed first place, while the Pungdeok branch finished as runner-up.

In his opening remarks, Mayor No Gwan-gyu stated, "Suncheon is a small but strong city with a promising future, built together with all of you." He added, "We will actively support the healthy and vibrant lives of our citizens by expanding sports facilities and hosting various community sports events."

Meanwhile, Suncheon City continues to support citizens' athletic activities by holding the Mayor's Cup and a variety of other community sports tournaments every year.
